Bryan and Councilwoman Joi Mayo will discuss her new role in representing West Charlotte as the District 3 Representative on City Council.
Council Member Joi Mayo represents Charlotte City Council District 3 and brings a strong background in education, community engagement, and neighborhood advocacy to public service. A former Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teacher and current nonprofit leader focused on environmental justice and community outreach, Mayo has spent years working to strengthen Southwest Charlotte through transportation advocacy, neighborhood leadership, and grassroots community development. Her work on City Council focuses on ensuring residents have a voice in Charlotte’s growth, with an emphasis on public safety, infrastructure, opportunity, and equitable investment across the community and throughout Charlotte.
